Desperate Working Mommas
Your one-stop site for fanatical television snarking, questionable political analysis, occasional attempts to address the parenting issues facing working mothers, and halfhearted promises to stop obsessing about the entertainment industry, already! Oh, not to mention the random bitching and moaning. There's always that.

I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry

The kiddos left last night for their annual Podunky Small Town AZ summer with the grandparents. Let me tell you, TGIM was absolutely thrilled when their flight was delayed two hours. Yep. They didn't make it in to Phoenix until 1 o'clock in the AM. Which, as you well know, is equivalent to 4 o'clock in the AM for our three cranky, overtired, east coast chillins! They are SO going to be the children from hell today. I'm not going to lie to you... it won't be pretty. Aaaaah, good times, y'all. Good times. Poor TGIM...

But whatever. Dorks are at a kick-ass waterpark in Phoenix RIGHT THIS VERY SECOND! (*jealous*) A WATERPARK! With slides called The Cyclone and Twister! FUN in the SUN! Without ME! The MOMMA!

Well that's just rude.

I miss 'em already.

*sigh*

I would miss my son..though now is a good time to get out something delicious to eat, watch really good tv and stay up late.
Did you ever start watching Windfall?

My son is going to my in-law's by him self on Tuesday. For FIVE FREAKING WEEKS! First space camp, then a cross country RV trip with just the three of them. I am THRILLED for him - he will have so much fun. I miss him already and he is not even gone, yet.

Odd Mix, you feel my pain... happy for kids, sad for the momma. Then there's the guilt when I'm like, "WOO!! No KIDS! I can eat CANDY FOR DINNER! I won't, of course, but I COULD!"

Misty, I finally saw Windfall for the first time last night (TiFaux, you know). I have the next episode lined up for tonight. I very much dislike Cheaty McCheatster and it pisses me off that Luke Perry's wife (Nina?) is even THINKING about hooking up with the scumbag... Grr! Don't do it! The bastard. But it seems pretty interesting so far... I'll give it a go.

Thanks for the offer,CK. I may take you up on... okay, I totally never will because hello? freedom?! But thanks anyway! Soooo generous of you...
;)

Yeah there is a lot going on with that show~Luke isn't the popular Dylan type anymore on this one..I feel like I'm watching it as a "filler"..lol. It holds my interest but just not as good as my regular non-summer shows!

I have a theory that in order to START missing my kids they would have to be away from me for as many nights as they are old. My 15 year old = 15 nights, 2 year old = 2 nights, ect. Unfortunatly I will probably never get to try this out.

Candy for dinner. Hm.

Be thankful that you have people you can trust your kids with for that long. I get skittish when certain relatives (read: in-laws) keep them over for the NIGHT.
