Desperate Working Mommas
Your one-stop site for fanatical television snarking, questionable political analysis, occasional attempts to address the parenting issues facing working mothers, and halfhearted promises to stop obsessing about the entertainment industry, already! Oh, not to mention the random bitching and moaning. There's always that.

Constantine, I THINK I love you...

Wow. Good times on AI last night.

SubduedBo stepped out of the box (loved it!), Carrie channeled Olivia Newton John with her slammin' Heart remix, and Mikalah is SOOO going home!

Anwar was self-consciously sexy, Blinky did Phil Collins proud and let it ALL hang out, and Nadia, well, she had a faux-hawk, y'all.

Anthony was safe, Constantine unequivocally proved he's totally making fun of EVERYBODY in this competition, and Jessica so totally redeemed herself (despite forgetting some words) and looked kind of hot, to boot.

Vonzell, she's a cutie, and she sang perty good, too. She's a black belt, did you know? Who the hell am I forgetting? Oh yeah, there was Nikko. He did a'ight.

Carrie and Blinky made me tingle, but what's up with Blinky's facial hair? Is that eyeliner above his upper lip?

Hee. The caterpillar was a bit distracting... BTW: Carrie's backup singer was AWESOME! Am I crazy? I wanted to see her bust out from the pit and challenge Carrie to a AI Diva Sing-Off! That would have been some quality entertainment right there.

I meant to say, "AN AI Diva Sing-Off!" "AN"! GOSH! I wish you could edit and correct these freaking comments. What can I say? The High-Strung OCD English Teacher in me continues to rear her ugly head...

My former-English-teacher-grammar-disorder has waned dramatically over time. (I left the classroom in 2000.) There's hope. Hang in there!

I'm not with you on that backup singer at all. I happen to have in my possession the only tape recording in existence (yeah, I totally just looked that up to make sure it was right, so I'm not as waned as I though) of the Bitches in Hell's rendition of said song as performed live circa 1990 in the recording studio at Kings Dominion (it's right by the Grizzly, that rickety wooden roller coaster -- have you been?), and I must say that the beauty of my voice is unmatched. The b-side of said recording is a stellar execution of the B-52's Love Shack. You can't beat that shit.

Hee! mrtl, you = hilarious! In fact, I THINK I love YOU! Let's be bestest friends, mm-kay? ;)

BTW: The tape MUST be sampled for authenticity before my opinion can be swayed in any way.

And you, of course, have never had the pleasure of viewing the first ever live video performance of the PJ Jammers covering the Beastie Boys "Girls". (Naturally, we changed the lyrics to "Boys.") We did rock, if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, the spontaneous backflip did go slightly awry, breaking a lamp and severely damaging my street cred.

Baby, I love it when you get all Cassidy on me. I'll be thinking of you during the Special Hour-Long AI airing tonight.

The Beastie Boys totally rock.

I really hope someone else will comment here. We need a chaperone.
