Desperate Working Mommas
Your one-stop site for fanatical television snarking, questionable political analysis, occasional attempts to address the parenting issues facing working mothers, and halfhearted promises to stop obsessing about the entertainment industry, already! Oh, not to mention the random bitching and moaning. There's always that.

"Sweet dream baby, how long must I dream?"

If it is wrong of me to fantasize about buying, oh, say three dozen Krispy Kreme donuts only to strip naked and roll around in their sticky, glazed goodness, all the while shouting "Mwah ha, ha, ha, ha! They're MINE! All MINE!! Mwah ha ha!" and shoving as much gooey pastry into my mouth as is humanly possible when one is rolling all around in said Krispy Kreme donuts, oh, and without gaining even an ounce of weight (due to the aerobic nature of the fantasy, naturally), then baby... I SO do not want to be right.

That being said, I'm friggin' hungry, y'all.

Nice. I think all of us have had a fantasy similiar to yours, even if we don't want to admit it. Especially the part about eating them and not gaining an ounce. So, let's say the Krispy Kremes are, I don't know...Brownies. I'm with you, girl...Well, not actually with you in your fantasy because that would be wrong, and probably someone else's fantasy...Oh well, you know what I mean!

You know, I only ever had Krispy Kreme donuts once and I have to admit that I didn't like them much. We actually threw out half the box. It was in Sydney, mind you, so it's possible something funny happens to them when they're made in another country.

It isn't wrong to dream!

A favorite of mine is to lie under the conveyor as they are glazing those wonderous hot wads of dough...

Oh shit, now I have to make a Krispy Kreme run!

My friend makes bread pudding with Krispy Kremes. It should be illegal.

What else could you run under the glazer? I would glaze everything I ate. Glazed pancakes for breakfast. Glazed fruit for lunch (with glazed donuts for dessert, of course). Or maybe I could lay on the glazer conveyerbelt and it would just glaze my whole body. Mmmmmmm, glaze.

OMG. If I had a glazer at home... the kids would eat everything I cooked for them -- they'd never sleep, but they'd eat all their food. ;)

Dream, baby, got me dreamin' sweet dreams
The whole day through
Dream, baby, got me dreamin' sweet dreams
Nighttime, too
I love you, and I'm dreamin' of you
But that won't do-oo-oo-oo
Dream, baby, baby stop your dreamin'
You can make my dreams come true

Oh. Sorry. Was I singing out loud again?

Kinda late to put this on here, but it took me forever to find this post I wrote in April of 2004 about Krispy Kremes. It's one of my faves.

Oh, Amy, Amy, AMY... Woman, I feel your pain. Actually, I admire your restraint! The fact that you did not scarf the entire box within the first 2 hours is WAY beyond my meager capabilities.

I love the vision of you in the tub holding a steaming hot Krispy Kreme! (Not THAT way, perv!) I laughed right out loud when I read that. You were SO totally stone-cold busted. Heh. Love it.
